Conservation Projects

Architectural conservation can describe a variety of interventions, ranging from basic repair and maintenance to restoration and even reconstruction.

Successful conservation must be based on a respect for the historical value of the building fabric and an understanding of its significance. It requires a knowledge of materials and repair techniques, and should be based on investigation and an understanding of a building and its historical and physical context.

Justin has recently completed the research degree of Master of Urban and Building Conservation at University College Dublin. The course was established in recognition of the growing need for professional expertise in the conservation of buildings and urban areas.
