Projects

The practice currently has a number of private housing and low-energy refurbishment projects in progress. We believe in creating designs that are energy-efficient, have a low environmental impact, are well-ventilated and create healthy living conditions.

Our experience in the repair and adaptation of historic building fabric has given us an understanding of the materials and techniques used in the construction of traditional buildings.

Many of our projects involve the sympathetic refurbishment of traditional structures and upgrading to modern living standards. Our designs integrate improvements in thermal performance with moisture and humidity control, and are based on detailed calculations and on site measurement.

The most sustainable and economical buildings are those constructed from local materials. Our study of vernacular architecture and traditional crafts, combined with new technologies, allows us to develop sustainable designs with low energy consumption and running costs.
